Description

This charming and elegant residence has recently been renovated. It is located in the Dorsoduro quarter of the Historic centre of Venice and looks onto Campo Santa Margherita a popular gathering place in the city, famous for its numerous outdoor cafes and open markets. This most welcoming two storey home is blessed with sun and light, has original beamed ceilings, Venetian 'terrazzo' floors and elegant furniture with attention given to the smallest details. The two double guestrooms are stylishly furnished in a perfect combination of antique and modern taste. There is a private bathroom for each room, TV and air- conditioning. The lower floor guestroom is decorated in the classic Venetian style, the bathroom boasting a Jacuzzi and marbled casings. On the upper floor there is the spacious and romantic 'mansarda' which looks over the roof-tops. The glass mosaic bathroom is fitted with an enormous bath and shower, large mirrors and a sky light window. Both rooms have space for an extra bed to be added. Breakfast is served in a spacious and charming kitchen, the traditional 'heart' of any household; the fitting combine modern technology with period furniture. When the weather is fine, one can take breakfast outside on the terrace which leads off from the kitchen and enjoy an enriching prelude to the day's sightseeing. Almost a secret garden, a private sitting-room open to the sky. In the summer months one can enjoy a candle-lit aperitif under the climbing roses on the terrace - a perfect way to breathe the atmosphere of this city.
