- The Albergaccio in Siena is an ancient historical palace, built in Middle Ages and used in medieval senese republic as a prison, maintaining during the centuries the original ancient name. It is situated in country, close to the historical centre ( only 3 Km. from the city-walls).It has been recently and completely restored, creating five characteristic apartments, double and single rooms ( some with private bathrooms ) , leaving and restoring the original and very nice ceilings with beamed wood, ancient bricks,arches, and wrought iron.All the rooms and apartments are very bright and romantic, some particular in their old characteristics.
